Experience & Qualifications:

5–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in construction projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel (must-have)
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and designs, such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
Technical English (intermediate level or above)
Familiar with international mechanical standards and local regulations
Good understanding of quality control procedures, material specifications, and testing protocols
Knowledge of safety standards and procedures within the construction environment
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that work performed is in accordance with approved mechanical drawings, specifications, and standards
Verify contractors delivered materials to ensure they match approved submittals and report discrepancies to the MEP Superintendent
Maintain a detailed diary of daily work activities, including issues, approved or rejected work, hours of operation, labor, and equipment used, report findings to the MEP Superintendent at the end of each day
Coordinate with contractors’ teams to provide advice on execution of the work and to address issues related to construction activities
Facilitate the sampling and testing of defective work and ensure quality assurance for suspect materials in coordination with contractors’ teams
Collaborate with surveyors to check line and levels, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications
Process inspection requests and maintain up-to-date records of the status of work inspections
Keep records of completed work for interim and final payments and maintain as-built drawings in alignment with actual site installations
Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) requirements and report any improper installation practices or safety violations
Provide ongoing support for mechanical system installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Preferred:

Knowledge of energy-efficient mechanical systems and sustainable design practices
Familiarity with construction scheduling and project management software like Primavera or MS Project
