Work Location: Baku and regions of Azerbaijan

Type of Assignment: Contract

Work Schedule: 5 days a week based on 8 hours per day.

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

Estimate and manage costs for all activities related to soil works (e.g., excavation, backfilling, compaction, piling) and concrete works (e.g., foundations, slabs, columns, retaining walls).
Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost plans based on design drawings and specifications.
Monitor actual costs vs. budget and report variances to project and commercial teams.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations specific to soil and concrete works.
Manage the valuation of work-in-progress, change orders/variations, and final accounts related to ground and structural works.
Support tendering processes and contract documentation for civil packages.
Conduct site visits to verify quantities, progress, and compliance with specifications.
Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives on soil stabilization and concrete usage.
Liaise closely with site engineers, geotechnical experts, and structural consultants.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
3+ years of experience as a QS, with a strong focus on soil works and concrete structures.
Familiarity with geotechnical reports and structural drawings.
Solid understanding of construction methods, material specifications, and industry standards related to earthworks and concrete.
Proficient in cost estimation software and MS Excel; experience with AutoCAD, CostX, or similar tools is an advantage.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
